Artists against the stereotypes in culture. Poland-Ukraine – Meeting our neighbours.
Cracovitalia Foundation is actively engaged in the promotion of Poland's culture in UE countries and among the closest neighbours. Together with the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage we implement a project in the form of a review of the achievements and directions in Polish modern art represented by young artists. The event is not only the review of Polish modern art, but also an attempt to meet young recipients from Ukraine who may be interested in both the current cultural events in Poland and would like to learn about the way Polish artist function in the European ground. It will allow Polish cultural contribution to be presented in Europe. The aim of this project is to struggle with the stereotypes resulting from the belief that, in Ukraine, there is no intrest in Polish art. The project is also to give the lie to the assumption that young Polish artists are not interested in presenting their art outside Western Europe especially to their eastern neighbours.
The project has been implemented with the aid of the program of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage – Promoting Polish culture abroad.
