OUT-LIVE – testimony to the history
From the very beginning of its existence Cracovitalia Foundation acts in aid of the intercultural and intergenerational dialogue in contemporary Europe. Within the framework of its aid and the cooperation with Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency, the Foundation runs a project titled : Out-live – testimony to the history. The aim of this project is to recall and preserve the memories of the captives who were saved from the extermination – those that survived the nightmare of Nazi's concentration camps. It is an attempt to put to good account their experience in the process of creating civil society in Europe, that would be free from extremism, and to store the reflection on Nazi's concentration camps, and thus the memory of the history. The most essential point of reference concerns the words of Primo Levi „Auschwitz not only marked its stamp but it also taught a lot”. This is the message that should dawn on young Europeans. The tragedy of concentration camps should not only move them but help them to make good decisions especially those concerning their existence in the society
Co-financed by the European Commission within the programme "Europe for Citizens" 2007 – 2013.
