The objective of the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for the Dialogue between Cultures is to promote intercultural dialogue and support the aims of the Barcelona Process through cultural, intellectual and social exchange. In addition, the Foundation sets itself the goal of promoting knowledge and mutual respect between representatives of Mediterranean Basin cultures. The foundation was conceived as a platform for exchange and dialogue between the different zones of Mediterranean culture, often finding themselves outside of the regular or official diplomatic or cultural channels. The foundation has its headquarters in the Alexandrian Library in Egypt.
